London is the capital city of United Kingdom and England. It is the most populated city in the United Kingdom. In South East of the Great Britain Island, London stands on River Thames. The Buckingham Palace

Have a visit at the Buckingham Palace to have a brief view of the palace. It is one of the very few royal palaces in the world that still works up to date. Buckingham Palace is the headquarters of administration for the United Kingdom reigning monarch. It is found in the Westminster city. This palace was mostly the center for royal hospitality & hosting state occasions.

Initially, it was called Buckingham house that was the largest townhouse built in the year 1703 for Buckingham Dukes. In 1761, it was acquired by King George III who made it Queen Charlottes’ private residence and changed its name to The House of the Queen. In the 19th century, the house was enlarged by two architects; Edward Blore and John Nash. They were able to build the central courtyards three wings. The palace became the British Monarch London residence 1837 upon attainment of the rank by Queen Victoria.

Major additions to the palace structure were done in late 20th and 19th centuries. The additions included the East Front that is made up of very well recognized balcony where traditionally the royal family gathers to greet the crowd. The palace also has the Queens Gallery that was constructed and in 1962 opened to the public.

In the summer you could tour 19 spectacular rooms in the palace. The room decorations are made up of the Royal collections greatest treasures e.g. painting works by Ruben, Van Dyck & Rembrandt. During the non-summer visits to the palace, you will still get the opportunity to watch changing the famous guard and have a look at the iconic palace exteriors.

It is found in the central heart of London. It gracefully rotates above River Thames opposite Big Ben and parliament house. It has a height of 135metres making it the tallest projecting beam in the world in the 19th century. The eye is a symbol that represents the global icon & the capital in the modern days. The HM Tower of London

This historic castle is found on River Thames north banks in London central. This tower is a several building complex that were set in between two concentric rings of a moat and defensive walls. The tower has a great importance in the history of England because it served several roles; it was a treasury, Royal mint home, menagerie, the office of public records etc.

The tower was used as a prison when figures like Elizabeth I fell in disgrace then she later became the Queen. Also, Elizabeth Throckmorton and Sir Walter Raleigh were imprisoned in this castle. Due to this use of the tower, it resulted to the phrase “sent to the Tower” despite the place being reputed as a death and torture place.
